In The Streets with Beverley Smith: Sleeping While Black (Episode 57)
The LAPD brutally murdered a black couple as they slept. Gives new meaning to the term "Stay Woke".
Kisha Michael, 31, and Marquitan Sandlin, 32, are not alone. Greg Gunn, 58, an unarmed black man, was also murdered by police in Mongomery, Ala.
In Salt Lake City, Abdi Muhammed, 16, is critically wounded after police shot him four times. Abdi was holding a broomstick. Contrast this, if you will, with multiple reports of Caucasians brandishing loaded guns at police officers and are still breathing. Miraculously, the police do not fear white people with loaded weapons, but are terrified of black folk, whether we are unarmed, or carrying cell phones, brooms, or sandwiches.
Two Muslim men and a minor, Muhamedtaha Omar, 23, Adam K. Mekki, 20, and Muhannad A.Tairab, 17, were shot and killed execution-style in Fort Wayne, Indiana. But let's ignore all the recent anti-Muslim rhetoric coming from conservative political circles.
A Washington, D.C. man who was wrongfully convicted by faulty and unreliable FBI forensic practices and spent 28 years in prison has been awarded 13 million dollars. His case sheds light on years of injustice and dozens of cases where innocent people have been destroyed by the FBI's faulty testimony.
US District Court rules (and I quote) "There is no First Amendment right to film the police." Meditate on that.
There was a KKK rally in Anaheim, CA. There were clashes between the Klan and anti-KKK protestors. Three protestors were stabbed. People were arrested. Guess who were released from custody with no charges. C'mon. Take a guess.
Stay woke, my peeps. Because Sleeping While Black has already proven fatal.

Several times a day I see postings by black people saying that "Black People don't stick together" or that "Ni%%as" ain't no good or that Black Women are B!T@#s.
When White people post something like that we call for their heads!
We want them fired, and we would want a public apology.
If we will not accept that behavior from another race why do we accept it from our own?
Do you challenge people when they post negativity about your race when you are both the same race?
Should they lose their jobs and be forced to apologize publicly?

Talking in Circles: Atlanta Review, Kyle Petty Talks Caution Clock,
On this episode of Talking in Circles we discuss the entire weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway, the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 and Jimmie Johnson's 76th career win, tying him with Dale Earnhardt.
We'll talk about what we thought about the new rule package at Atlanta and whether or not the race was interesting or boring. Also we'll talk about what we think we'll see at Las Vegas this weekend.
Matt Kenseth had a well documented penalty on Sunday, which in part cost him the race. Plus his team did not communicate to him what happened. We'll break that down as well and who is really at fault for the incident.
The NASCAR XFINITY Series had a good race on Saturday that saw Kyle Busch run away with the race with a hard charging Kyle Larson in tow.
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series used the caution clock for the first time this weekend and we had a major incident because of it. Two drivers hit the wall at extremely high speeds. We'll discuss what we think of that clock.
Also ratings for the Cup race were down significantly for the second straight week and the attendence for the race at Atlanta was not strong. What has happened to Atlanta and should we be worried about the future of the facility.

HOPE is often a distant and fleeing thought when we find ourselves caught in the Mudale of the middle of the deep and often lonely times that come from fighting to find yourself again during our recovery but a HOPE of A FUTURE and letting go of the Painful past can help all us no matter what our disability is, no matter how hard life slams you down and knocks you to the floor into a belief that together as a team of strivers and survivors that we can make it a life worth living!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
