Dr. Mutulu Shakur was set for release from Federal prison on February 10, 2016. His release never occurred. He was informed that he would only be scheduled to get a hearing for parole on April 4, 2016. Dr. Shakur has violated no serious rules in his entire 30 years of captivity and has promoted unity and cooperation between prisoners in the Federal system.
Similar to Shakur, Veronza Bowers had a release date come and go with no movement. June 21, 2005, was the day Veronza Bowers was to be released from federal prison on mandatory parole after more than 31 years of incarceration. This date was based on a vote of the five-member U.S. Parole Commission in D.C., the highest governing body in that system. Veronza has served his full sentence under law. He has been a model prisoner with the highest possible Bureau of Prison rating and recommended for parole several times, only to have his release rescinded at the last minute. Veronza Bowers is still incarcerated.
These two stories are a couple of examples of the plight of political prisoners and prisoners of war who remain tucked away in the industrial complex. Kathleen Cormack, a Chicago native, began writing lively stories at the age of ten. Her fifth- grade teacher read her story to the class, and commented that it was the best one.
An avid reader, it is no surprise that she shares a love of creating and writing stories. “Writing allows me to get away from it all, while allowing my brain to conjure up creative story-lines. Reading also allows me a similar feeling. I am relaxed when indulging in a really good book.”
Kathleen holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education administration and a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts. She is an advocate for social justice, a huge proponent of education with a great interest in African American history. She mentors our youth and loves it!
A fitness enthusiast, she is a body builder and has competed twice in figure competitions. Her goal, with the help pf her trainer, is to take the stage in the body building category, hopefully in 2017.
She and her husband John enjoy traveling and have visited Hawaii, Canada, Paris, Rome and various places through-out the U.S. Kathleen has also visited Israel, Jerusalem, and the Caribbean.
They reside in the state of Florida.

The Good News of the Glorious Gospel
Good day all, I pray all is well, remember that's our mantra "All is Well." This is the day the Lord has made we shall rejoice and be glad in it. Well my mom's funeral was February 19, 2016 she's gone on home to be with the Lord and in that I rejoice and am glas and again I rejoice. When we know where our love ones are when they pass, it brings much comfort and joy to our souls.
