Every week, two of the Best Fans in Baseball (TM) bring you all the news and analysis you need about the St. Louis Cardinals.  This week, Daniel Shoptaw (C70 At The Bat) and Tara Wellman (Bird Seeds) talk about the disappointing series against the Cubs and the rebound series against the Padres.  The offense again sputtered against a good team.  Is that going to be a problem going forward?  Adam Wainwright and Mike Leake both have struggled--where does that leave the pitching staff?  Plus a look ahead to Arizona and Washington!

Are you prepared???

Are you prepared??? Do you know the saying, "Tomorrow isn't promised to us?" Well, technically that is true if you are referring to the earthly realm.  However, it is said in the good book known as The Bible that we must leave this place and return to what was as how it all began...Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Then upon God's return, those following Christ will be called home to heaven.  Guess what, brothers/sisters, we will either make the rapture or have to die to get there.   IPe1:18 "For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect." Would you be ready and have you done and said everything you want to say/address? Hello, how are you today Let me know if you someone to talk to I Love you Can I help Let's have lunch I'm sorry Do you need anything Have you said the tree simple words...I Love you Have you purchased life insurance to voter funeral expenses   Will you be strong to handle losing a loved one home to God before your exit   Do you have a Will on how and who will take care of your children and/or belongings   Does your family know your close circle of friends to invite Do you have anything specific on your requests...cremation or burial, etc. Is there someone special you would want to attend your leaving this earth Have you been baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior   Stay prayed up, prepare, and be ready!

Welcome to CONCEPTS FOR HOLY LIVING  "a plain word for practical life application". We invite you to take this message and make it yours, use it for personal growth, share it with family and friends, or even in a bible study setting, it will bless the soul!  ABUNDANT LIFE is frequently revealed in Scripture as a result of the presence of God being with His people. It shows up through His super on our natural because He is with us and never leaves us, because He loves us. Our message will share what Jesus meant in John 10:10 when He contrasted the difference between what the thief (devil) does and what He (Jesus) came to do. Listen and be blessed!  God has given us bible-based concepts showing us how to live each day, and especially in difficult times. When you receive the revelation of God’s will, it will strengthen you in your daily walk with Jesus. We will prove to you through Scripture precepts and example that Father is faithful. Get your bible, pen and paper and get ready to hear what the LORD is saying. Our message is delivered by the prophet Mary E. Washington, Pastor of Feed My Sheep World Evangelism located in Irving, Texas. Please support our World Evangelism Internet Ministry by giving your gift to help us in spreading the Good News.  Thank you in advance and may God bless you in a most special way.

Why Church-Based Premarital Counseling Does Not Prevent Divorce

0
0
In the Grown Zone we challenge conventional wisdom, including overvalued and ineffective beliefs about how to create and sustain healty relationships, including marriages. This edition of Grown Zone Radio reveals three reasons why church-based premarital counseling, in the absence of ongoing relationship education, does not prevent divorce: It does not reach those most in need of relationship education, when they need it most. Church-based premarital counseling is no substitute for the education and training that must take place long before the marriage proposal.  It is biased in favor of the marriage happening, whether the relationship is proven to be healthy or not—and even when there is ample evidence that it is unhealthy. The fact that most premarital counseling takes place at the same time that wedding plans are being made and carried out does not help. It is usually too little, too late without the solid foundation of a healthy relationship. Five to 10 premarital counseling sessions in the months or weeks before a wedding is no substitute for the ongoing relationship education that should begin before reaching the age of marital consent. Check out this edition of Grown Zone Radio to learn why excellent relationships don't happen by chance, but choice. Revelation 3:1-6 DOCTOR, IS IT TIME TO PULL THE PLUG?

0
0
Life is full of cold, hard realities! For instance, there are times when decisions must be made concerning the life of a loved one. Sometimes these bodies can become so diseased and so badly damaged that there is no hope for the continuation of life. During those times, many families will make a decision to forgo medical treatment for their loved ones, thereby affording them the right to die. Certainly, this is not euthanasia, but it is facing the fact that there are times when you must face the facts! There are times when there can be no recovery and no quality of life and the best gift you can give that loved one in to pull the plug, so to speak, and allow them to die with some semblance of dignity. (Of course, not everyone feels this way. There are those who want to keep their loved ones alive as long as possible using machines and medicine. This is not a condemnation of that approach either.) While this is true concerning the human body, it is also true concerning churches! Churches die! There are churches that once walked in the glory and power of God, who are now living on their past success. There are some churches that are kept alive by nothing more than the machinery of their organization. If someone were to walk by and pull the plug, that church would silently fade away into oblivion. Such is the church in our text this morning. They looked alive, but the Great Physician felt their pulse and declared them to be dead! Jesus is telling this church that unless there appears the certain signs of life, then He has no choice but to pull the plug and let them go forever.

Rebekah Roth: 9/11 and our future

Obviously 9/11 changed the future for every person on the planet, but how might the future unfold knowing that the people responsible for the attacks are still at large and still planning to implement their world wide plan.  Rebekah will discuss the future and how her research has led her to some very specific conclusions.  RamJet will of course do everything in his power to make Rebekah look good and try not to detract from her show.  This all should be both entertaining and informative today.
