Some of my ideas are a long way off, but, if we don’t get started on them now, they will never get off the ground. So we must start them off now and let them take hold as quickly as everyone sees the merits in them. I call for a Draft of all Americans. WOW, OOPs. Don’t close the door on me or hang up the phone or laptop – how do you hang up a laptop – go figure… a figure of speech and a picture. All of us must serve each other and our country. we can no longer have a few of us defend our country and take care of it. So, we all will be drafted to serve in several capacities: 2-3 yrs in the military and not like it is now with no moral compass or moral commanders – who don’t go on the missions and leave the dying to them who do go; serve the sick, veterans, homeless, seniors and orphans while raising everyone up (not by boot-straps) with personal responsibility – yours, ours. we will all do Basic Training: CPR, health conditioning, smart eating for most of the time, learning another skill & Language, helping home or abroad - helping us abroad. Author & HIV/AIDS advocate Lawayne Orlando Childrey shares on Good Deeds
Lawayne Orlando Childrey is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. His autobiography, Peeling Back the Layers: A Story of Trauma, Grace and Triumph, was selected as one of the top six autobiographies of 2015 by the Colorado Independent Publishers Association. Childrey is also a recipient of the national Edward R. Murrow Award for Journalistic Excellence.
In addition, Childrey has won numerous Mississippi Associated Press Broadcasters awards for his reporting with Mississippi Public Broadcasting, a statewide affiliate of National Public Radio. In 2014 the Alabama Community College System selected Childrey as its most outstanding alumnus in the institution’s 50-year history. The ACCS awarded a $5,000 scholarship in Childrey’s name to a deserving Alabama high school senior. During the same year, Childrey was named alumnus of the year for Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham. He currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee where he serves on the executive committee of the Nashville Regional HIV Planning Council. Childrey also works as a freelance journalist, national voice over artist, HIV/AIDS advocate and motivational and keynote speaker.

"Men Talk Monday" Why Is It So Hard For Some Men To Commit To A Woman?
Many men realize that the value and beauty of being in a committed relationship is the love, trust and mutual support that a couple share. But some men find it hard to commit because they fear losing themselves and their freedom as the master of their own destiny. How a relationship will affect or change one’s dreams or plans is an unknown that can be frightening. These guys are very concerned about having to check in with a woman and answer probing questions such as, “Where have you been?”
Then there are men who choose to commit because we know we are better in an exclusive relationship with a good woman than we are solo. But there’s a critical combination required: the right woman at the right time. Both elements have to be in sync. If a man wants to be unattached—for whatever reason—it doesn’t matter how right the woman may seem because he doesn’t want the responsibilities of a commitment at that time.
By contrast, when a man is ready for an exclusive relationship, he will gladly accept the challenges and responsibilities it brings. That often comes after he has established himself economically and is tired of playing the field. That’s the case whether he’s a deliveryman or a doctor—as long as he feels he’s meeting his own expectations of manhood. At that point, a solid union can evolve. The bottom line is that commitment is about loving, trusting, being honest and sharing. And it’s about choosing the right person at the right time to become a true partner in life.
Men will eventually realize that committing to one woman is the true way to satisfy their needs.
