Today we will be discussing Christian conduct. This is the direction that the Holy Spirit is leading us in. Today I want to ask you a simple question, Are you looking like a soldier for the Lord? Before you answer that I want you to seriously stop and think about it. In today's teaching we are going to do just that. Paul instructed us to examine ourselves. As believers God wants us to be representatives for Him. We need to be a holy and santified people. Today we will see what the Lord expects from His soldiers!

We talk to God. We pray to God. We beseech God, rale, cry and scream at God. We walk with God. We have other people liaise with God on our behalf. We accept the blessings bestowed upon us by God, and readily reject that which we call accursed. We do all of this on a daily basis and, yet, are we asking the right questions of God? The current state of your life, your health, wealth, finances and your relationship with self and others will answer that question for you. Talking with God isn’t something that you can learn, as in how to pray or recite an affirmation. All that is good and has its place in our spiritual evolvement, yet, talking to God isn’t something that you learn; it’s something that you do. It’s intrinsic or inherent to who you are. The ability to speak with God, and be heard by God is something that you came into being with. So, are you asking the right questions of God?

The latest, published Thursday in the scientific journal Nature, says melting ice in Antarctica has the potential to contribute to a rise in sea levels of 1 meter -- more than 3 feet -- by the end of this century and goes on to say with ice also melting in other parts of the world, seas could rise 5 or 6 feet by the end of this century, far more than predicted in a 2013 United Nations study. NJ Filmmaker Michael L. Boylan: Writer & Director of “The Radio”
It’s time for my annual Filmmakers Series -- my tribute to the Independent Filmmakers I met while attending the 14th Annual Garden State Film Festival in Atlantic City. Typically working with minimal budgets, these writers, directors, and producers (often the same person) rely on their passion, patience, and perseverance to get their film completed. Indie films are often screened exclusively at local, national, or international film festivals. Michael L. Boylan of Pennant Films in Atlantic Highlands is the first Filmmaker in this year's series. Michael’s film, The Radio, which he wrote and directed, was entered in the category of Home Grown Short Film. Watch the trailer here. It’s the story of a timid love-struck young boy. When his uncle dies suddenly, he is left devastated and without a clue how to win the affection of a girl from his middle school; until his mother gives him a transistor radio that had belonged to his uncle. Through the special power of the radio, he is able to speak with his uncle who guides him through the mysterious new world of dating. In the process, the boy learns valuable lessons about life, love, and making each moment count. Boylan says, “I would always look around as a child and imagine what I was seeing was a movie. I would see two lovers speaking, a bird chirping, a man running and make it all into a movie in my head. I was born and raised in Brooklyn.
Both my parents were hard workers, seldom home. De facto the head of the household in our family was my mother’s mom, Nonna Domenica…. She is the one who passed down to us her culture with, at its very heart, her culinary traditions.
I remember her going to the market everyday bringing her shopping cart. She stopped at the vegetable shops and bit a peach or tasted a cherry, and if it good she bought them otherwise she spit it on the ground with a disgusted expression on her face. I was amazed that nobody ever complained about it but after all everybody there knew her..
Growing up I realized that my grandmother had been the repository of our family culture and identity. And I found out that, like her, millions of grandmothers all over the world pass down their heritage to their grandchildren.
Nine years ago, moved by the wish of sharing Italian grandmothers’ culinary culture I opened a restaurant, Enoteca Maria. At Enoteca several Italian grandmothers from different Italian regions cook their own menus on a rotating schedule.
In 2011 I started flirting with the idea of extending the concept to other culinary cultures. I began working on the creation of the virtual book “Nonnas of the World”. A crowd sourced recipe book where anybody around the world can upload their grandmother’s short bio, 3 photos and a recipe (written in their native language). My vision it’s this book to become the most extensive collection of grandmothers’ recipes, their particular Dialect and memories, a testament to culinary culture of common people from all over the world.
Next natural step, in September 2016, was inviting grandmothers of different countries to cook at the restaraunt.
